Smartmedical granted UAE International GD Award 2016
Smartmedical became a sponsor for “UAE International Genetic Disorders Award 2016” at The 6th International Genetic Disorders Conference held on 21st and 22nd of October 2016 by UAE Genetic Diseases Association, to grant award and fund to Prof. Randi J. Hagerman, M.D. of UC Davis School in the USA. Prof. Randi J. Hagerman is internationally recognized as both a clinician and researcher in the fragile X field. Smartmedical has granted Dr. Randi the research fund US$ 10,000, also.
UAE Genetic Diseases Association was established by Dr. Maryam Matar under the patronage of H.H. Nahyan Bin Mubarak al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development-UAE. This association is researching and prevention of genetic diseases like Thalassemia, Sickle Cell Anemia, etc., for concerning the early recognition.
